With a portfolio of nearly 50 properties and three generations of business and community history, Richard E. Jordan II, CEO, acquires and develops properties that positively impact the region. “We really offer a ‘timeliness of opportunity’ for today’s enterprisers. We pose several questions to ourselves before any acquisition: Is it a sound investment; but more importantly, will it result in economic improvement for all the stakeholders? Founded in 1961, Smith Land continues to be guided by its conservative development philosophy and fixation on building equity. This belief is evident in the landmark West Shore Plaza retail center, situated between two highly trafficked corridors in Lemoyne, which enjoys a stable tenant base and strong anchors—CVS Pharmacy and Karns Foods, a family-owned, independent grocery store.
